Middle Option Music was formed in 2001 to be the business that supports the various activities of Springfield Il. based audio engineer, Ric Major.

Since 1975, Ric Major's mission has been to supply the highest quality in audio reinforcment and recording to the groups with which he has been involved.

In 2001, after 25 years of mixing, recording and re-mixing, he moved into Digidesign's Pro-Tools, the industry standard in computer based multi-track audio recording. Since that time, Major, aka "skippy", has recorded and/or produced over 50 CD releases, while continuing to provide live reinforcement to select area clients.

Our private studio provides a comfortable, colorful room for full band
recording or individual tracking.

On location live recording of up to 24 digital tracks is also available.

We can provide portable risers for your event.

Up to 9  4' x 8' sections of staging may be set up at 1, 2 or 3 foot heights,
for a solid, interlocked platform of up to 24' wide by 12' deep.
